Hey guys! I rarely show my son’s room on here, as you know. I really haven’t done much in his room except change out the bedding and rug since we moved in. But now that my son is getting a little older (he’s officially a tween now), we decided to give his room a little grown up update!

I have big plans for this space, which will include a new dresser, wallpaper, and basically a whole new theme for the room. He’s had a Star Wars room since he was a toddler, and while he still loves Star Wars he is just ready for something different.

As I do with most of the spaces I update in our house, I like to do it in stages as our budget allows. And after having to sleep in my son’s room a few weeks ago when he was gone at a sleepover and my husband was sick, I realized the very first step in his room update would be his mattress! Wow! His old mattress was horrendous! I can’t believe he never complained about it. It was the most uncomfortable mattress…so I knew he had to get a new one!

Luckily, QVC reached out to me right about at the same time and asked if we wanted to try our one of their fabulous mattresses! I jumped at the chance to get Jason a new hybrid mattress! The full size mattress we ordered arrived really quickly in a large box. Once you remove the mattress from the vacuum sealed packaging, you let it fill with air and let it sit for about an hour (though it was almost instantly ready to go)! It was the perfect addition to Jason’s big kid update to his room!
