Summer is almost upon us! I can’t believe the school year is nearly over (only 2 weeks left for my kids). Unlike last summer, we have a few trips planned this year including to Florida to visit Dusty’s parents in July and our 20th anniversary trip in August. I can’t wait to get to the beach to relax with my feet in the sand!! Since I didn’t really buy much in the way of beachwear last year, I wanted to get some cute pieces to wear this summer! I found some adorable and affordable dresses and beach coverups from Walmart that I wanted to share with you today!

The Perfect Red Sundress

I found this gorgeous red dress from the Free Assembly brand at Walmart. I thought it would be a perfect dress for Memorial Day and 4th of July! This tiered cotton dress has ties at the shoulders which I modified to go around my neck. I love the look of a halter neckline! You can also tie bows over the shoulder for a fun, flirty look! I’m wearing size small in the dress. It fits loosely around the waist and body, but much more fitted up around the chest (which is why I didn’t size down). 

Simple and Classy White Dress

Next, I found this pretty white dress from the Sofia Vergara collection to wear this summer! It’s the perfect classy white sundress with its sweetheart neckline! The puff style sleeves can be worn either on or off-the-shoulder. I’m wearing size small and the dress fits true to size. Unlike some maxi length dresses, this one isn’t too long. It’s the perfect length for me and hits right above my ankle. It’s a little sheer, so I’m wearing a light slip underneath. My cute macrame handbag is also from Walmart.

Fun and Flirty Floral Sundress

This cute pink floral sundress was the next on my summer must-have list! It’s from the Scoop brand at Walmart. It’s lightweight and is form fitting but not tight! I’m wearing a size small which is true to size for me in this brand. You can also change up the tie shoulder straps like I did with the red dress and create a halter neckline!

Beach Coverups

The next two outfits I got to wear as swimsuit coverups at the beach! First, this adorable two-piece peach striped set (top and bottom priced separately) from the Sofia Vergara collection looked super cute on the model, but I was a little unsure when I got it in the mail. I was pleasantly surprised that I actually loved how the set fit! The top does show a bit of my stomach, but with the high waisted shorts, it’s not too much and I felt comfortable in it. I also plan to wear it over a swimsuit. The shorts were really comfy and a great length. I’m wearing a size small in the top and medium for the bottom.

Lastly, I found this summer skirt and cropped long sleeve top from the Scoop brand at Walmart. The skirt is definitely sheer, so you’ll need a slip if you plan to wear as a regular skirt versus a swim coverup. The top is really fashionable and flattering. I’m wearing a small in both the top and skirt.

You’ll notice that I’m wearing the same clear studded gladiator sandals throughout the try on session. I love having a great pair of shoes that will work with multiple outfits when I travel!
