Hey I'm Erin
Christmas Toy shopping for your kids can be stressful and often times frustrating dealing with the crowds at the stores this time of year! There’s really nothing worse than toy shopping on Black Friday in my opinion! Luckily, with Walmart offering such great deals on toys ahead of Black Friday, I can do all my shopping online and totally skip the crowds and lines of Black Friday! Today, I partnered with Walmart to give you guys some great toy gift ideas for the kids in your life and save you time and money as we approach Black Friday!
The first thing I have my kids do this time of year, as I’m sure many of you do, is have them make a list of a few things they want for Christmas. We also discuss maybe adding to the list a few practical items such as clothing or books. And in recent years, as my kids are getting older, we have also placed a focus on spending more time on experiences versus gifts at Christmas time.
That being said, the few toys we pick out for our kids for Christmas have to be ones that they really want. My daughter Kayla is OBSESSED with all things to do with L.O.L. Surprise Dolls. This has been the one toy brand that has been a constant love of hers for several years. As fickle as kids can be with toys, I’m happy to have found something Kayla truly loves to play with.
The whole idea of L.O.L. Surprise Dolls, if you’ve never heard of them, stems from the popular surprise toys made famous from YouTube unboxing videos. When you receive an L.O.L. doll, it’s a surprise to see which doll you get. There are layers of accessories and different clues that are revealed as they open up the doll packaging. I think it’s a fun extra aspect to these toys. Besides that, I’m all for anything that promotes pretend play versus sitting around on electronic devices.
Kayla is over the moon excited that she was able to get this L.O.L. Surprise Doll House as an early Christmas present. We got it from Walmart and currently it’s on “rollback,” which is Walmart code for “sale”. It’s so cute, and jammed packed with fun little details, like a light up shower and a toilet that has “flush” sounds…which for some reason, Kayla thinks is hilarious. It even comes with a little L.O.L. doll family. Kayla is also happy to finally have a place to put all of her L.O.L. doll collection when she’s not using them. In her words, “they have a place to live now!” She also has her eyes on some other fun L.O.L. Surprise toys from Walmart to add to her collection.
If you’re kids are not into L.O.L. brand toys, but you’re looking for a large doll house or playset, above I’ve linked several I found which are not only amazingly priced, but highly rated. I also linked some gift ideas for boys and girls of all ages below.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy toy shopping!
