Hey guys, I’m here with the FINAL installment of my son’s room makeover! If you remember, about 3 months ago I started Jason’s room makeover with new bedding, wallpaper, and rug from Walmart. The goal was to give him a more grown up space that will work for him well into his teenage years. After we updated his bedding, we added a new desk area and changed up the furniture arrangement. And today, I’m revealing the new wall art and shelving I got for his room to complete the more grown up, less themed space that he was hoping for!
First up, we decided to move the small trophy shelf in his room. We put it instead in his bathroom for additional storage. I found these super cute floating book shelves from Drew Barrymore’s new Flower Kids decor and furniture collection, exclusively at Walmart. They come in all the colors of the rainbow, but I chose these great blue colored shelves which match his dresser. Jason need a place to keep the books he’s reading as well as a place to neatly display his awards and trophies. I love how this area turned out. It looks more organized and polished now!

Next, Jason decided he was done with the Star Wars themed room and wanted something a little more grown up and reflective of his current interests. I found these great science themed framed prints {Lab Equipment Chart print, Atom print} from the Flower Kids collection at Walmart! I love that these prints look like chalkboard art! And they are perfect for my smart kiddo who loves science!
I changed out the Star Wars art above his dresser for this large {Periodic Chart of Elements} also from the Flower Kids collection. It coordinates well with the other prints and also looks like it’s been done with chalk on a chalkboard! The coloring of it is fun too. It’s a large scale piece of art so it would work for above long dressers or above a bed.
I decided to keep it simple above Jason’s bed and just add this {black round mirror} which is also from Walmart. Before he had a Star Wars print, but he wanted something that was less little boy and not themed at all. The plain, but classy, mirror fit the bill perfectly! This new grown up room can now grow with Jason as he enters his teen years! We hopefully won’t have to redo anything in here for a while!

And make sure you check out the new Flower Kids collection at Walmart. It’s fun, really affordable, and perfect for creating a unique space for your kid. These are some of my favorites from the new collection!
