Hey I'm Erin
Can you believe we are only a month away from Thanksgiving?! It’s one of my favorite holidays. Some of my fondest childhood memories are from our big Thanksgiving dinners with my extended family. My big job during the holidays as a kid was helping to set the table and fill the glasses with water before the meal. Now that my home is often the gathering place for our family, I still love to serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and create a beautiful tablescape for us to enjoy! Today, I teamed up with Walmart to show you how to create a beautiful and affordable tablescape for your fall gatherings!
Tablescapes are one of my favorite areas to decorate and really get creative with different textures, colors and layers to the place settings I use! For this tablescape, I first started with picking out the plate set I wanted to use because it would set the tone for the look and style of tablescape. I found this gorgeous 12 piece vintage-style Farmhouse Lace Dinnerwear set on Walmart.com. I purchased 2 sets for a total of 12 place settings. Each set was only $34.99 and came with 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, and 4 bowls. I love the beautiful embossed beaded pattern and the country charm of the scalloped plate shape.
Once I decided on this vintage farmhouse style plate set, I knew I wanted this tablescape to have a more organic feel to it with lots of natural elements and an earthy color palette! I decided to use a layered look for the table runner to create a unique look. I started with this extra long and flowy chiffon table runner from Walmart.com! This 180” long runner is only $13 and really helps to soften the tablescape and create a romantic feel to the space!
I layered this burlap table runner from Walmart over the chiffon runner to create more depth and visual interest. This runner is also super affordable at only $8!
Next I wanted to bring some color into the tablescape with a beautiful floral center piece. I used these gorgeous real hydrangeas in a large white ginger jar. You can find a similar jar on Walmart’s website here. I added some beautiful faux greenery to the table with some pink and burgundy berries for a pop of color! I also used the berries with some twine as an inexpensive napkin ring.
I finished the table off with 2 sets of 3 elegant brass candlesticks on each side of the centerpiece! I also added a few other touches to the room from Walmart including this gorgeous vintage style gray rug by Orian Rugs which is only $172. I also used this pretty terra cotta planter with some faux florals and some of the real hydrangeas that I dried out. The pot does have a hole in the bottom for drainage (as it’s intended for outdoor use), but it works perfectly with faux florals indoors and adds such stunning texture and rustic elegance to the space.
I think this is one of my favorite tablescapes to date! And I love that the dinnerware I picked are practical and sturdy enough to be used throughout the year for everyday use! Let me know what you think of this new fall tablescape in the comments! What is your favorite element?!
