Hey friends! It’s that time of year again….The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I thought I would take a moment to answer your questions about the sale and then share my favorites from the amazing items in this year’s sale! This is the first year I’m able to take advantage of the early access for card holders and I’m so excited!

First things first….how do you get early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

To get early access all you have to do is open up a Nordstrom Card. I chose to go with the debit card option, as I’m not sure I trust myself with a Nordstrom credit card! LOL! The debit card works just like your bank card and deducts directly from you bank account, with no additional fee. What’s even better, is you get special perks from using your card on your Nordstrom purchases. You earn points for every dollar you spend which then allows you to get coupons for $20 off (or Nordstrom notes). And being a card holder has special privileges like early access to their amazing sales!

What’s the big deal about the Anniversay Sale?

To be honest, I was wondering the same thing last year! I figured it was like any other sale….old items that I’d seen around the store would be going on deeper discount. NOPE! People freak out about the Anniversary sale because Nordstrom releases brand new FALL products that haven’t been in the stores yet, and discounts them between 30-40% off! Then after the sale, the products get pulled off the floor, only to return later in the fall for full price. I remember thinking last year, why were things already sold out online when they just released the Fall stuff? Well, that’s because many of the brand new items will fly off the shelves during this amazing sale! So that’s why you have to get an early jump on it! The popular stuff will sell out….fast! So if you have your eye on something, don’t wait!

What’s the best way to shop?

I’m plan to head to the store to try on some things, but I’ll do the majority of my shopping online. Usually the online store has a larger selection of products and sizes, and they don’t sell out as quickly.

What are the best things to shop for?

I’ll be looking for staple items that are must haves for the entire fall and winter season like jackets, boots, handbags, and then I’ll also look for more expensive items like luggage and hair tools. And of course, I’m hoping to pick up a few new home decor items!
