At only $109, I had to have it! I love that the wood coordinates with the wood on my coffee table, but has a modern edge to it.

Any time I get a new furniture piece, I’m constantly changing around the decor and re-styling until I get it just right. I started with tall candles and a potted plant that had more height to them, but decided that lower profile decor would work better for this space.

I found this Alaterre rustic reclaimed wood round side table and the coordinating Alaterre rustic reclaimed wood rectanglar version in the Overstock shop on eBay and thought they would be perfect additions to my living room update. I don’t think that your furniture needs to match perfectly, but it should have elements that coordinate and work together to create a cohesive look to the space. These tables are very sturdy hardwood with a whitewash finish.  I love how they have a rustic finish, but also a traditional shape. They coordinate well with my existing coffee table and share the same wood tone and curved shape of the legs with my new sofa table.

I’m loving that this reclaimed wood accent table has a small drawer where we can neatly store away our remote controls. I’ve always struggled with where to hide the remote…or where to find it when my kids have somehow hidden it! 😉
