Welcome to My Texas House! Thanks for stopping by! My website is the best resource for sources, links, photos, and all the details on my home and the My Texas House brand.
Who is ready for fall? I know, I know….Most of us are still in the midst of summer! We can’t even walk outside without melting into a puddle of sweat! Don’t get me wrong, I love summer more than any season because it means my family’s schedule is much more laid back and less stressful! BUT l have to admit when the kids head back to school and I start seeing fall decor hit the stores, I start to long for the days of chunky sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes!
With this in mind, I thought I would show you how I start to transition my summer decor to more fall-inspired decor with the help of one of my favorite place to get all my furniture and decor, Wayfair! And even more exciting is that right now Wayfair is having their big clearout sale and some of your favorite items from my home are on sale!
As you guys saw on my page, my go-to color palette for summer is neutrals and pops of pink. I use lots of throw pillows, and faux florals to add a light and fresh look for the summer. For the fall, I like to add more earthy tones…while still keeping the general neutral and light look! I found these gorgeous {burnt orange tassel pillows} on Wayfair. I love their beautiful texture and they add the perfect pop of fall color to my living room without screaming…pumpkins and Halloween!
If you’re like me and prefer to keep a mostly neutral palette throughout the year, or if warm fall colors aren’t your thing, you can also help your home transition to a fall look by just adding accessories that are full of detail and texture. Chunky knit pillow and throws, tasseled pillows, and wood accents all help bring a warm and cozy autumn feel to a space.
I added this {round wooden tray} from Wayfair to my coffee table! I love the texture of the bead accented around the sides. These two beautiful matching {ceramic vases} also add visual interest with their texture and warm earthy tone. I also added tons of faux florals throughout my living space to add some fall color. Wayfair has a huge selection of high quality faux flowers and stems.
It doesn’t take a lot to transition from summer to fall decor. Simply adding some earth tones, textured accents, and fall florals can make it feel like fall is really just around the corner! As soon as September hits however, all bets are off and the pumpkins come out!
When people ask me where I love to shop for home decor, Wayfair is always on the top of my list! I would say at least half of my furniture and decor are from Wayfair (Joss & Main and Birch Lane included!) So when Wayfair has big clearance sales, there’s a good chance something I have featured on my page is on sale! With their fast, free shipping over $49, as well as their great costumer service, I can do most of my home shopping on Wayfair.com. Now, through 8/12, Wayfair is having their 48 Hour Clearout Sale. Check below from some items of mine that are on sale.
Right now, several pieces of furniture of mine are on sale at Wayfair. First, two of my previous beds are on sale. My {linen headboard} that I used to have when I first started my page is on clearance for only $172! The linen color of this headboard is a more white color with cool undertones. While the beige (the color I had) has more of a warm undertone and is definitely a shade darker than the linen. My old {linen platform bed} is also on sale for only $720 for the king size bed!
My living room {coffee table} and {side table} are also on sale! I love the warm tone of this balustrade style tables! They are super sturdy and hold up really well to the abuse my kids put them under! They are constantly leaving drinks on them and we don’t have any issues with cup rings or water marks!!
Another popular furniture item of mine that is on sale is this {entryway console table}! It’s on sale for only $277! I love that this table is really narrow and fits behind our front door when it’s fully open! It’s really high quality and has four drawers which are great for storage!
My {white linen dining chair}s are also on sale right now during Wayfair’s clearance sale! They are on sale for only $250, which is the lowest price I’ve ever seen these chairs! A tip on these chairs: you will need to steam the linen covers when they arrive, but they will smooth out nicely!
My {white farmhouse style chairs} are also on sale for $114 for a set of 2! Such a great deal on these sturdy chairs! They are kid-proof and light so they are easy for kids to slide in and out yet are heavy enough that they don’t tip easily, which I know is a plus for those who have young kids.
Lastly, I can’t believe the great sale price on my son’s {vintage style bed} from Wayfair! It’s only $209 for the full size. This bed is such high quality and very sturdy. You will need a box spring with the bed if you want it to sit higher like in this room.
I hope you got some ideas for how to start to transition your home decor as we inch closer and closer to fall! And be sure to take advantage of Wayfair’s 48 hour Clearout Sale for some amazing deals! Head to their website to check out all the sale items! Thanks for stopping by and for supporting the companies that help make my website possible!
