Hey I'm Erin
Hey everyone! It’s been a week of new work spaces for us! This time it’s me who gets a new work area! I’m excited to show you how I was able to turn the bay window space in my bedroom into a multi-functional work space/breakfast nook with gorgeous vintage chic style furniture from Walmart!

Having my own dedicated office space has kind of been an issue for us in this house ever since I started working full time. We recently rearranged our dedicated office at the front of the house to hopefully make it easier for both my husband and I to use the space, but unfortunately it’s just not working to both work in there at the same time. I also have gotten used to using my bedroom as my main work area (aka my bed), so I was hoping to figure out a way to transform my room so that I could sit and work in there when I needed an actual table to spread out or use my laptop.
When I saw this {white vintage-look table} on Walmart’s website paired with this gorgeous velvet settee, I was totally inspired! I knew that the two pieces would work really well in this bay window area in my room. I love that they are non-traditional desk pieces because I didn’t want my room to look like it had an actual office in there. Instead, I love that this new space flows so nicely with our existing furniture and could double as a breakfast nook area where I could drink my morning coffee! Or I could just hang out there with Jessie and read a book!
The {gray velvet bench} has beautiful tufted detail on the sides and back, as well as nailhead accents. It’s a pretty slate gray color, and I used some similar colored linen pillows on my bed to tie the space together. I could also add some smaller bistro chairs (like these chairs) to the set if I want more seating, but I liked the simplicity of just having the bench and the table together in the space.
The {table} is 42″ in diameter and it has an antique look to the white paint. The table is sturdy and definitely could be used in a standard kitchen area as well to seat 4 to 5 chairs.
I linked several other products from Walmart that you see here in my bedroom (or similar ones) in the slider above. Walmart continues to impress me with their huge selection of quality home decor and furniture for amazing prices. You can search their website by design style to find the exact look you’re going for! For example, you can search their “Vintage Chic” design style page for gorgeous products like the ones I found for my bedroom desk space. Check out some of my favorite vintage chic style products available from Walmart below.
I’m really loving having this new work space in my room! It’s been the perfect solution to our office sharing issues! Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back tomorrow for another post about some great finds from Walmart, so stay tuned for that!
